Pear Chips
Skip the processed store bought chips and get the same crispy crunch from some fresh local produce. Very, very simple to make!

- 1-2 ea. pears (thinly sliced, preferably with a mandoline) (sub similar fruits like apples if you want)
- 1 ea. lemon (juice squeezed out of it)
- water
- recommended seasonings: cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice (1 tsp. ea.) or just leave plain
Slice the pears and immediately soak them in a bowl of water and the lemon juice.
Take out slice by slice, shaking excess liquid off, and spread them out on a nonstick baking sheet (works best with a Silpat).
Sprinkle seasonings over slices if desired. Bake for ~90 minutes at 250*F. Let cool and enjoy!
