New Beginnings

Hi. 

While I was struggling with how to open this blog, my best friend suggested I simply reveal some things you should know about me, and why I am writing this blog, so that we can actually move on to the good stuff already! 

  1. I am a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist working in a hospital.
  2. I believe in eating fresh, local and wholesome foods and limiting processed ones as often as possible. 
  3. I used to make desserts for a living (what?!).
  4. My dream is to once again make desserts for a living, but definitely healthier ones the next time around.
  5. I love being active, and regularly participate in pilates, running and biking. Though my favorite sport is skiing. Oh, and I recently started taking salsa lessons - so fun!
  6. I also like to help others get in shape, become stronger and reach their fitness goals.
  7. Every day I get asked questions about food, nutrition, exercise and achieving overall wellness.
  8. Last year, I joined Instagram and created a Facebook Page to help address those questions but found keeping up with daily posts was overwhelming and unorganized for my purposes.
  9. So this year, my New Year's resolution was to create a new and accessible platform for delivering your answers, sharing nutritious recipes, and providing fitness and wellness tips.
  10. Hmm...what else? I'm really hoping that you won't just read my blog but also participate in it. Ask me your questions about food and nutrition, give me your feedback on recipes, and let me know what you want to see posted.
